Our (greece) group.

Both spain and portugal to qualify line is curently 1.9, slightly less than 50% this means, at pointbet, this is a joke, and this line is way off, we are talking here about the hosts of the euro and the somewhat co-hosts, the spaniards, at least in terms of finances flowing in portugal in terms of their neighboors football or not holidays. And we are talking about greece and russia, two really soft teams. All things considered, spain and portugal to both qualify should be around 70% chances, so this one surely is a value bet. I fail to see how two vastly superior teams who happen to have the monetary advantage and the uefa/fifa link will not qualify, imo 1.9 is a gift, i ll shop around for a while for something better, and failing to find anything i ll gladly bet this one.

Germany is at 2.0 to win the Swiss. The swiss team are laughable, swiss football is pathetic, of course a team such as basel have had their occasional cl fame, but besides that swiss football is nil. I ve watched this team up front and close in my home country in a friendly match, and they seemed just a "tad" better than old weary leeds united, maybe worse. The fact that the mighty germans, now in decline but still a force to be reckoned with, are given exactly 50% chanced to win these bums is, in my book, plainly wrong. I expected this one at around 1.7 so i ll bet it at 2.0 or higher.

bol, jack.

you guys please post anything that attracts your attention, a couple of weeks before the games begin, sure looks like a fun tournament, football and betting wise.

In fact it's at level ball everywhere. Why would you price up at 1.7 a team with no real strikers away vs an euro participant ?

cause we will show up..jack is right and germany will try to go in the tournament with some confidence...that's why the malta game has been already a gift.

hopefully your home team chris will get the job done, after some line shopping i ll be on ladbrokes' 2.5, never a good sign when ladbrokes linemakers offer better odds than the rest (even betfair have lower odds at 2.42) in a fixture, but this sure does posit a lot of value for me. In terms of the away factor it does not worry me a lot, it's not as if the germans are travelling some dozen hours to play at zimbaboue or something, they 're just crossing a border, and the swiss are not exactly what one would call a heated crowd.

olympic has got a sweet price at 1.87 level ball but since withdrawing my money from them, what with the legal procedures with the jamaican government, i try to refrain from betting with them.

Jack- I really like your combination of both Portugal and Spain to advance from their group. When I posted that I liked the draw prop under 9 1/2 a couple weeks ago, I also mentioned that I liked Spain at -250 to advance. I think at the time Portugal was like -260 and now they have now both gone to -300 or higher and they'll probably both go up from there.

It's a weak group and the way the matches are scheduled makes it an even stronger play. Spain and Portugal don't meet until the last game of the group and by that time both should have six points and Russia and Greece should both be at zero. In a spot like that, Spain and Portugal can rest players if need be and just look forward to their respective quarterfinal matchups.

Kevin Kuranyi and the germans delivered with a clear victory, 0-2, against the woeful swiss, as expected. A good return on investment on that Ladbrokes' 2.5.

well, it seems like ladbrokes are not very fond of this german team. They got their asses handed to them a few days ago when the germans won and ladbrokes paid up on that hefty 2.5. On Sunday germany face hungary, a tired, dispirited team, with coach mateus (the ex world class footballer for germany) leaving the team after the game, with something around 20(!) hungarian players having refused to participate in what they see as a pointless game after a long season. The germans at home will i am sure give a spirited performance for a conveincing, morale building win before the euro. The handicap is set at 1.5, and guess what, while most bookmakers have odds around 1.8 to 1.85 for germany ladbrokes stubbornly overlay the germans again with their 2.0. I ll take their gift.

0-2 on the thirtieth minute, shit, these hungarian kids are giving the germans a good ass whooping so far, the germans are tired and boring, one of their all time worst performances i ve ever seen, i hope they get it together at some point, this is pathetic.

Jack- I thought the score was a misprint. My Germany play -1 1/2 is a loser but I also played it over 2 1/2. Is there a third goal in this game in the second half or has Germany mailed it in?

at half time intermission now bob, 2nd half should start in a few minutes, i ll post when and if the germans or, for that matter, the hungarians score, the germans haven't mailed it in, but they are very ineffective, they missed a couple of so and so chances to score in the final minutes of the first half, but i am sure they ll give it their all in the second half because failing to do so everyone in germany will be on their back, the press and the people will give them a hard time for sure what with this being a potential second fiasco after the romanians trashed them with the digraceful 5-1. In the end of the half the whole stadium was boo-ing them.

no goals second half, sorry for that bob, i was rooting for you, but the germans were completely out of it, they missed 2-3 half decent chances in the second half and that was all.
